In search of food…

I have recently decided that I am going to become a good cook. I am determined, despite my lack of knowledge and experience. But since I have not yet mastered kitchen-time management skills or the art of strategic grocery shopping, my meal cooking is usually confined to two nights a week. In between my meals, I like to peruse some of my new-found favorite blogs and cook vicariously. Below are some my favorite sites that I visit regularly.

The Gourmet Project

An article in the Wall Street Journal led me to this blog. Teena, the blog’s author, is cooking EVERY recipe in the massive Gourmet cookbook, over 1,000 individual recipes!

Cheap Healthy Good

Check this one out on a Friday for “CHG Favorites of the Week.” The random food-related videos and quotes are hilarious.

MattBites

I love his food photography.

Cake Wrecks

Have you seen the show on Food Network, Ace of Cakes? This isn’t it, but it’s equally (if not more) entertaining. Be prepared for the artistry of some brilliant and creative cake decorators. J
