Found floating around the net this week:

Ethanol producers are lobbying to raise the ethanol blend in gasoline from 10% to 15%.  Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are all about it.

North Dakota Commissioner of Agriculture Roger Johnson was elected president of the National Farmers Union earlier this week.  It is one of the largest farm groups in the nation with approx 250,000 family memberships.

Former state representative Rick Minton has announced that he is officially running for Florida Agriculture Commissioner in 2010.

Wal-Mart plans to push their “fresh produce” in upcoming months – they will be tidying their displays, buying local produce and advertising more to consumers.
