New College Park Farmers’ Market Offers Fresh, Value-Added Products

March 17, 2010

For those readers who live in Central Florida, I went to the newly-opened College Park Farmers’ Market on Sunday, March 14 and it was really nice!  The market is open from 10am to 4pm every Sunday and is in the Eidson Insurance parking lot at 2807 Edgewater Drive (on the corner of Clayton Street and Edgewater).

There were vendors with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, meats, plants, honey and value-added items like fresh breads, sauces & salsas.  What a pleasant surprise to see two FAPC members there.

Donna Marie’s Gourmet Pickled Peppers looked great.  Check out the new farm gate sign in the front of the booth.

It was also cool to see Silverado Steak Company there with its supply of Florida seafood.  The shrimp poster flapped in the breeze but cooperated for this photo.

Just down the row, a honey vendor had Tropic Bee Honey and sauces from Florida Gourmet Foods, both FAPC members.  I love that you could go to this market to get a variety of products.

Donna Marie’s can be reached by calling 407-312-4384 or 407-467-3349.  Silverado can be reached by calling 407-765-3432.

The next time you’re in Orlando on a Sunday, stop by the new College Park Farmers Market!
