Epcot’s Fresh from Florida Weekend 2010 – Fullei Fresh

July 21, 2010

Fullei Fresh is a company in Miami which grows a wide variety of delicious and nutritious sprouts (like mung bean, broccoli, daikon and sunflower, just to name a few).  They even have an organic line.

Owners Silvia and Manny Wong work hard to produce and promote their products.  Guests at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival were intrigued by the sheer variety and look of the Fullei sprouts.  These go beyond the bean sprouts I remember from my childhood that were were popular in the 70s and 80s.

Although they are wholesalers, their products can be purchased through a number of vendors.  The mission of Fullei is proudly stated on the company’s website:

“As a second-generation sprout grower, Manny Wong, the owner of Fullei Fresh, knows the importance of producing only the best quality and safest products. Our mission at Fullei Fresh is to set the standards for food safety, while providing our customers with the highest quality products and the best service we can. It is our continuing goal to ‘provide wholesome dietary alternatives which enhance cuisine and protect against diseases.'”

The International Sprout Growers Association has some great tips on how to incorporate sprouts into recipes.  Be on the lookout; the sprouts you buy just may be Fullei Fresh!
