Trotting Along Florida’s Horse Trails

December 28, 2010

Did you know that out of 30 Florida State Forests, 18 of them have horse trails, or that out of more than 150 Florida State Parks, 26 of them have horse trails? Florida’s climate and varied terrain offer year-round opportunities for horse enthusiasts to explore the state on horseback.

We even have a Trailtrotter Program.  After completing the different levels (Trotter, Saddler and Wrangler), riders receive special patches and certificates of recognition.  It is a great way to experience Florida for both human and equine participants.

To find out where your nearest trail is, check out the Florida Horse Trail Directory.  Let us know if you go!
