I’m an agriculture student finishing up my AA in the fall, hoping to transfer to UF by 2011. I try to spread the teachings of Thoreau and Emerson as much as possible, and encourage people to learn how much work goes into just one meal from farmers. Your facebook page not only helps bring to light how strong the Agricultural economy and community is in our beautiful state, but also helps the general population understand how important farming is, always has been and always will be in not just our state, or country, but the entire world. Thank you for your work and dedication.

I’m a fan and have even referred a case of many mis-labeled boxes of leather leaf fern (several refrigerated containers, floor to ceiling, front to back, full!) that was marked as “Fresh from Florida” that had originated outside of the United States to Florida Department of Agriculture’s Law Enforcement unit…

We live on a small farm, a few cows, 6 chickens, a couple of dogs, goats (at the in-laws) a few cats. Have a small garden. My in-laws, ages 85 and 71 have farmed all their lives. Ag is a a blessing and a big job. thanks for the info and help ya’ll give.
